ORIGINAL DRAWINGS AND PAINTINGS OF MODERN AND CLASSIC MOTORCYCLES BY LANCASHIRE-BASED ARTIST, GWYN BAKER
ABOUT MOTO-ART DESIGNS
Gwyn trained as an Artist in the UK specialising in Theatre Design and worked in theatres in London and Liverpool. She has over twenty years experience drawing portrait commissions.
She always had a thing for motorbikes since her teenage years when she developed a crush on a lad from the youth club who allowed her to ride pillion on his motorbike. She was hooked!
She drew her first motorcycle as a gift for her husband who is a dedicated motorcyclist.
Since then she has had commissions for track day photos, MotoGP riders and classic motorcycle racers. Occasionally she gets a request for a classic car and has also had a commission to draw a couple of trucks for a local transport company.
In recent years she has been commissioned to paint two motorcycle murals in a local cafe (Barry Sheene and a Vincent motorcycle) which has reignited her passion for painting on a larger scale with acrylic paint on canvas. She regularly exhibits and sells her work at the Stafford International Classic Bike Shows (April and October) and The National Motorcycle Museum Live Weekend at the end of October.
A number of Gwyn's prints and original drawings are currently on display at Hadfields Bistro in Preesall, Lancashire (where the murals are).
*Due to very complicated and expensive changes in the rules for posting products to the EU, I can no longer offer this service and will only post to addresses within the UK. (My apologies if this affects you).
Gwyn is a member of the Guild of Motoring Artists and is looking forward to exhibiting with the Guild at some exciting venues in the near future.
MotoArtDesigns offers prints and cards from original drawings and paintings of classic motorcycle racers and MotoGP riders from recent years.
